6-Sneak-Student-Snacks-To-Improve-ProductivityIf you are studying for an exam or perhaps have an assignment due shortly, staying focused is not easy. Understandably, you are easily distracted, feel unmotivated and tired. You might not have enough time to eat important meals and so you might also feel agitated or weak. Fortunately, there are snacks which are both healthy and help improve productivity.

1. Bananas.

Bananas are the perfect snack because they come individually packed, do not spill and you can eat them anywhere. What’s even better about them is that they are full of glucose which gives you the energy to study and work. They are rich in various other vitamins and minerals and have a high carbohydrate content. This makes you feel fuller for longer, so you won’t hear your stomach grumbling in the middle of a test.

2. Eggs.

Ever feel like you know you should do something but don’t have the will to get started? The will needed can come from Choline, a vitamin found in eggs. Eggs are easy to prepare and there are so many ways to cook them you will never get fed up of them. Apart from speeding up your reaction time, eggs also help you to remember more. It is a good idea to have an egg sandwich just before you start revision.

3. Dark Chocolate.

There are many reasons to eat dark chocolate in order to improve productivity. The magnesium found in it helps alleviate anxiety and stress, such as what you feel when you are about to give an important presentation. There is also a small amount of caffeine and sugar in dark chocolate. This helps by giving you a boost in energy, without feeling shaky, like you would when drinking coffee. Dark chocolate also releases more endorphins in your brain. This makes you feel happier, less stressed and positive.

4. Celery and Hummus.

Hummus is a very simple snack you could prepare or buy. It contains Omega 3 fatty acids which not only improve your intelligence but also keep you motivated. A great addition to hummus is celery sticks. Celery is an ideal snack to improve your memory because it doesn’t have any negative fats or sugars. Having the two together whilst writing your term paper can make the difference between a B and an A.

5. Avocado Toast.

Avocados are the healthiest fruit you can eat because they are full of nutrients and good fats. By spreading them over toast and sprinkling some sage you will create the ideal productivity snack. With vitamin K and folate, avocados allow blood to flow easier in your brain. This means you can concentrate for longer without the risk of headaches. Sage also helps to keep you focused, whilst the bread, ideally brown, will keep you full for longer.

6. Carrots and Peanut Butter.

If you don’t have time to prepare anything and want to get on with your studies, open a jar of peanut butter and eat it with carrots. This snack will increase your productivity quickly. Carrots contain Luteolin, a powerful chemical which helps keep your brain young and healthy. By eating carrots you will reason better and remember points for longer. The peanut butter brings magnesium to your snack which calms you down. Peanuts are also known to give you energy. Be sure to choose peanut butter made only from peanuts, without additional oils, for the best results.
