Nowadays, due to all the problems with the economy, and probably also other individual matters, many people search for alternative ways of making money. Almost immediately, the internet becomes one of the first ideas that sprout up. Making money on the internet seems easy … at least that’s what some pro bloggers want us to believe in.

The only thing you have to do to make money, in theory, is starting a blog, publish some posts, and cash in your advertising check. I’m not saying that this does not work, but it’s a lot easier said than done. That’s why what I have for you in this post is a slightly different approach.

I’m not going to teach you how you can make money through your own blog. Instead, I’m going to show you how you can make money by writing/posting for other people. Not surprisingly, you are not the only person who’s stumbled upon an idea to launch a shiny new blog. Quite frankly, there are thousands of people just like you.

Some of them want to do this on a tight budget, but others have a more “extreme” approach. In fact, there are many companies/businesses who are searching for contract writers. Reaching out to them is one of the best and most sure ways to make money online. Therefore, here’s a list of 4 great places where you can go to find some blogging/writing jobs.

freelancewritinggigs.com

This is a very straightforward site. It simply publishes daily reports consisting of all the latest writing jobs posted all around the internet. The site is a kind of an aggregator (by the way, the site is a blog itself). Each entry contains a list of links to various job postings. To apply, you just have to click a given link and follow the instructions there.

jobs.problogger.net

If you want to become a pro-blogger yourself then what’s the better place to go than ProBlogger itself, right? These days, ProBlogger is a very serious business with lots more to offer than just articles providing daily blogging advice.

One part of their business is this job directory. You can browse listings in a couple of different categories. There are usually 3-4 new entries every day, so make sure to check the site regularly.

jobs.wordpress.net

I don’t know if you know this, but WordPress is the most popular website management platform of today. Almost 25% of all new sites are built with WordPress. Just a side note though. WordPress has a number of different projects going on simultaneously. For example, there’s wordpress.org, wordpress.com, WordCamps, WordPress VIP, and … WordPress.net Jobs.

This is a traditional job board. There’s a handful of categories, like WordPress Upgrade Jobs, WordPress Programmer Positions, WordPress Designer Positions, WordPress Blogger Positions, and General Positions. The majority of entries are about development and design positions, but you can find some occasional blogging jobs too.

authenticjobs.com

Yet another job board, but this time it’s not a standard one … there are some cool features. For instance, you can filter the results to display only fulltime, freelance, contract, or internship jobs. Also, the site itself is beautifully designed and easy to work with.

For blogging jobs, I encourage you to browse the “Content Strategy” category. This board isn’t that popular yet, but it surely has much potential for the future. That’s it for my list, but feel free to let me know in case you know some other places where bloggers can find quick gigs or fulltime jobs.
